Loomstallation with Blue Skye Thinking

West & West are supporters of the charity, Blue Skye Thinking. Blue Skye Thinking supports the research into the treatment of childhood brain tumours, striving to give all children diagnosed, a better chance of survival and improved quality of life during and post treatment. The charity was founded by Sally Hall, in loving memory of her son Skye. Skye was sadly diagnosed with a brain tumour and during his time at the children’s hospital, Skye aimed to create the longest loomband chain in the galaxy and received nationwide support. 30,000m later he secured a Guinness World Record and drew attention to the lack of research into childhood brain tumours. For the Loomstallation mission, Blue Skye Thinking have used the record breaking loombands to build an interactive art installation, made up of twisting and turning cogs at the John Radcliffe Children’s Hospital. It’s not only a work of art but fun, interactive entertainment for the children on the ward, allowing their imaginations to rocket sky high.
