One of our key strengths as a company has historically been the design and delivery of industrial units. Over many years, our dedicated install team have cultivated this skilled process into a fine art. The nature of our ever-changing and innovating industry means that our knowledge and expertise has to constantly evolve along with the times we live in. This project is a prime example of these changing times.

One key feature of large industrial units is the flat roof – in times gone by, this would be a lost and redundant space but not now. We installed a full photovoltaic system (PV) on the roof of this vast project; this consisted of 275w Polycrystalline roof panels, creating a much more energy sustainable space compared to the industrial unit design and builds of yesterday.

We relish being at the forefront of our industry, always looking for that next innovation to constantly drive ourselves to being the best electrical contractors possible for our incredible clients. The need for industrial spaces are on the rise and West & West are proud to be involved in the construction boom of industrial units in the south east of England. It was an absolute pleasure to work on alongside Francis Construction and SEGRO on this particular project – this is the second unit we’ve completed as part of the brand new development.

West & West have completed design, build and M&E packages on a variety of units ranging up to 200,00 SqFt, with the capability to complete beyond this range. This includes the installation of ultra-efficient lighting producing 140 lumens per watt (lm/W) – more than 50% higher than the value required to meet building regulations. West & West also install high-end metering systems at each building to enable end users to monitor and manage the amount of energy generated by lighting, power, and mechanical systems, as well as installing electrical systems.
