We were entrusted with the task of preserving this esteemed heritage of Exeter College Library, the fourth oldest college in Oxford, a bastion of knowledge and culture. This project was not merely about adding modern fixtures but about creating a connection between the past and the present. We introduced modern bespoke lighting so these literary treasures, spanning centuries, could bask in a new light that enhances their time-honoured splendour without compromising their integrity. The result is a delicate fusion of art, precision, and environmental consciousness that pays homage to the Library’s legacy while ushering in an era of eco-friendly innovation. This project stands as a testament to our ability to integrate modern advancements into historic settings, preserving their essence while elevating their functionality for future generations.
