West & West were commissioned to carry out the electrical refurbishment of a 16th-century townhouse, a stunning 16,000 sq ft property spread over five floors, described by Country Life as “one of the best houses in London.” This remarkable building was transformed into an elegant private art gallery, requiring a delicate balance between preserving its historic charm and integrating modern electrical systems.

Our team expertly installed new LED lighting, power, emergency lighting, lighting controls, and data systems throughout the gallery, ensuring the space was equipped with cutting-edge technology while respecting the architectural heritage of the property. Special care was taken to integrate these systems discreetly, so the beauty of the building remained the focal point.

By blending history with modern engineering, West & West successfully enhanced the functionality of this iconic townhouse, providing a sophisticated setting for the display of fine art.
